My RS has been substantially uprated in the suspension department. Up front I have fitter Grp 1 wedged Bilstein struts with 300/70 inserts running as yet unknown uprated springs. These are linked to the inner wings by roller top bearings and held to the uprated standard crossmenber by new TCA's with polyurethane bushes fitted all round.
The anti-roll bar is of standard 22mm thickness and is clamped by a double width anti-dive kit which serves to reduce suspension movement and keep the front more rigid under braking.
The rear suspension has been revised to reposition the shock absorbers vertically (turreted) which increases the damping efficiency and allows beter traction. Along with the turrets the standard anti-tramp bars are fitted with poly bushes and the standard rate springs sitting on 1" lowering blocks similarly tightly located with poly bushes, I plan to add a panhard rod, LSD and uprated halfshafts to this setup in due course.
The braking is taken care of by standard rear 9" drums with ferrodo shoes and vented Grp1 disks up front clamped by new M16 calipers and green stuff pads.
